We're back from Memphis!
What a trip it was! As usual, Mike Burton and I had a packed few days with a ton of stuff going on. We had meetings with Dixie Locke, Barbara Hearn and Bill Morris and we have a lot of terrific material for the next few magazines.
In addition to that, we conducted two successful events including an enjoyable tour of he city during which we showed fans 63 Elvis sights. Our bash at Marlowes was also wonderful. Our guests included Jessica St. John (Friend of Elvis), JoCathy Browlee (dated Elvis 1975), Barbara Klein (GK's former wife) and Barbara Leigh (dated Elvis 1970-72). Fans also enjoyed stories from former sheriff and Presley friend Gene Barksdale and Graceland neighbour, Sara Erwin.

George Klein in car crash
Sadly, George Klein was involved in rather a nasty car accident on his way to work in Tunica during our time in Memphis. We heard from him the day after it happened and he is fine (although pretty battered). His car rolled three times and so it's a small miracle that he is okay. Myself and Barbara Leigh were due to have lunch with George on the 7th, but obviously the meeting was cancelled.
A full report on GK's condition and a full write-up about the trip in our next magazine.
